because i was raised a witness, i don't think i was "uncomfortable" knocking on strangers' doors.
(weirdo).. but as i got older, i simply didn't want to bother anyone so i was at there door for no more than 30 seconds.

The kool aid I believe is a reference to Jim Jones cult - a poisonous drink that people ingested with confidence in their leader without realizing it would kill them. Sound familiar?
The Watchtower expects all to accept their words, a.k.a. "kool-aid", without question, even if it brings harm to you or your family.

you know what i'm talking about: the trite, often-repeated phrases that convey the person offering the prayer has drawn a mental blank, and utters these words while their brain desperately searches for the next cliche', so they can conclude the ritual with the required tag, "in jesus' name we pray".... (is that like the postage stamp?).
ok, i'll kick this one off, and take the most obvious:.
"forgive us where we fall short....".
".......that everything may take place decently and by arrangement..........."
Boy, do I hate the repeating of that part of the scripture! Prayer, or any JW function!

i joined the site a few months ago, made a big splash then kind of dissapeared for a while.
i would like to thank those who i came into contact with and let me into their lives and hearts.
if anyone worried about me during my absence at all then i apologize; i have not regressed or been kidnapped/re-brainwashed by the borg.
the scene is familiar.. a jehovah's witness family with one member who has awakened from the lie.. the split comes down to an interesting wrong terminology:.
unbelieving mate vs believing mate.. .
the context of the entire family is as a jehovah's witness family.. damage has already been done.
